Tracking expenses, generating invoices, and maintaining records often feel complex and overwhelming. Dash solves this with a well-structured interface, prioritizing usability and accessibility. The focus was on visual hierarchy, intuitive navigation, and seamless data input to reduce cognitive load and streamline workflows.
My role was to design a system that ensures consistency, clarity, and efficiency—introducing smart categorization, a modular UI framework, and a scalable design system that adapts to user needs, making financial management more intuitive than ever.

The product should be intuitive and visually cohesive, ensuring seamless financial management. The main focus should be on UX, clear information architecture, streamlined navigation, and accessibility to make bookkeeping effortless for small businesses and freelancers.
Solution
Our design-centric solution revolutionizes accounts payable for small businesses and freelancers. Prioritizing user experience, we offer a simplified interface, empower online presence management, and automate financial tasks. Streamlined purchase orders, improved vendor management, and enhanced productivity for accounts payable teams are key features. Cloud-based digital record-keeping ensures security and compliance. With bonus tips for optimized payments, we pave the way for error reduction and stronger business relationships.
Usage scenarios and UX mockups
Our journey began by engaging with key stakeholders, gathering their requirements, and identifying primary personas, including a member of the Business Delivery Team and an Accountant. Collaborating closely with vakilsearch experts, we meticulously crafted user flows that harmoniously blended user needs with our overarching business goal: seamless BPM platform utilization.
This early stage also required us to navigate through technical prerequisites and constraints, especially as we needed to seamlessly integrate with external systems. Armed with this comprehensive knowledge, we transitioned from initial paper-based UX mockups to a dynamic, clickable prototype realised in Figma.
Collaborative Design and Agile Development
From a designer's standpoint, a pivotal project assumption was to empower agile development, providing real value in each sprint for our client. This approach called for a parallel journey of UX/UI design and development. Instead of crafting an exhaustive prototype from the outset, we segmented the design processes into smaller, user-focused stages. Mockups were created, tested with real users, key improvements were implemented, and deployments were initiated. While we forged the path for the next phase, our development team worked diligently on bringing the app to life. Each stage was meticulously validated to ensure alignment with mockups and seamless functionality.

At Dash, we've meticulously crafted a custom design system that forms the bedrock of our brand's visual identity. Our Dash Design System streamlines the presentation of our brand across all digital touchpoints. It comprises cohesive design elements, including button styles, iconography, and interaction patterns, ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience. This design system evolves continuously to stay in tune with emerging design trends, while also maintaining our brand's universal alignment.
Rapid Delivery of MVP: A Collaborative Effort
Thanks to our agile approach and seamless collaboration between designers and developers, we achieved a significant milestone by delivering a fully functional MVP of the app within just three months.
UX research
During our collaboration, we conducted in-depth interviews, usability testing, and collected ongoing user feedback to understand their challenges. A recurring issue we identified was the need for a more user-friendly experience, particularly for small business owners using the app for their daily operations.
Our team of designers and developers, in close collaboration, addressed this challenge by creating a step-by-step interface. This user-centric approach simplified tasks such as generating invoices, tracking expenses, and managing inventory. The result was a more efficient and engaging experience for small business owners, enhancing their day-to-day operations.
As a result, all business goals have been reached, plus this product helps thousands of small business owners, freelancers, and accountants manage their finances, streamline operations, and stay financially organized every single day.
